On Friday November 3 and Saturday November 4, the ORHS Mu Alpha Theta Math Club will host the State Math Convention. We have 12 visiting high schools from all areas of the state, with 188 students plus chaperones attending.
Several students from UT’s student math club will be running the Math Bowl competition.
The event starts after school on Friday, with registration beginning at 4 p.m.
Competitions will run until approximately 10:30 p.m. and start back up the next morning.
Events will occur in the food court, amphitheater, library and math classrooms to accommodate all of the activities.
This will be the largest state convention in the past few years. If you want to see students having a great time doing challenging math problems, please come and check out our convention!
