Tennessee Arts Academy has designated Oak Ridge Schools as a 2019-2020 Arts Partner School System. By supporting teachers to attend the annual Tennessee Arts Academy, Oak Ridge Schools demonstrated a commitment and belief in the significant value of arts education and the equally important role the arts play in our individual lives and culture.
Oak Ridge Schools were listed in the 2019 Tennessee Arts Academy Finale program booklet. All of the teachers from Oak Ridge were asked to stand and received recognition during the Finale luncheon. Oak Ridge Schools will also be listed on the Tennessee Arts Academy website as a 2019-2020 Tennessee Arts Academy Arts Partner School System.
The 360 Tennessee teachers who attended the Academy this summer will impact over 200,000 K-12 school students during this current academic year. That is almost 20% of the state student population and represents a win for students, teachers, schools, and communities throughout Tennessee.
