RMS Teacher Receives Civil Rights/Liberties Excellence in Teaching Award

John Spratling, a veteran teacher at Robertsville Middle School in Oak Ridge, received the Civil Rights/Liberties: Excellence in Teaching award during the Tennessee Council for the Social Studies virtual conference on Saturday, February 27th. The award is sponsored by Social Studies School Service. He will receive a plaque and a check for $250.

Middle School Spelling Bee Winners

Congratulations to Robertsville’s Solomon Karisa and Jefferson’s Lana Haese for winning the 2021 spelling bees at their schools. Deadline Extended for Families to Apply for COVID-19 Food Assistance

The Tennessee Department of Human Services announced financial assistance is available for families who qualify for free or reduced school lunches, through the Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program.
