On Wednesday, January 11, 55 students from Jefferson Middle School participated in the annual Spelling Bee. After 20 rounds, 6th grader Ian Smith placed first in the contest with Duncan Rowden and Halie Campbell finishing second and third. Ian won the bee by correctly spelling the word significance.
