Fourth Grade: A Year in Review

5 years. 1 metric ton of awesomeness. Lots of friends and teachers. That sums up my career at Woodland. One of my favorite years here is my last: Fourth Grade. Not only have we done lots of fun stuff, but we are building a Rube Goldberg Machine. This is my favorite year.

Woodland Spring Fling

3rd Graders Receive Bicycle Helmets

Woodland 3rd graders received new bicycle helmets on Monday, April 9th. The helmets were sponsored by East Tennessee Children’s Hospital SafeKids and our Coordinated School Health Director, Jen Laurendine. Thank you for providing our 3rd graders with helmets for bike safety!

During their reading group time, several 2nd grade students read “A Zany Competition.” The book tells about how worm charming started as a crazy contest at a school in England. Safety Patrol Trip to DC

The Woodland Safety Patrol had the great opportunity to visit Washington D.C. on spring break. The students learned so much and were able to visit places like The Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building, Museum of Natural History, The National Cathedral, and the White House.
