5 years. 1 metric ton of awesomeness. Lots of friends and teachers. That sums up my career at Woodland. One of my favorite years here is my last: Fourth Grade. Not only have we done lots of fun stuff, but we are building a Rube Goldberg Machine. This is my favorite year.
Thursday, May 17th is the Woodland Hawk Hustle. Students in all grades will have an opportunity during school on Thursday to “hustle” around our track in hopes of earning money for our school. Woodland’s Spring Fling was Friday April 13th. We had an amazing turn out and LOTS of fun! Woodland students and their families enjoyed lots of games and activities.
Woodland 3rd graders received new bicycle helmets on Monday, April 9th. The helmets were sponsored by East Tennessee Children’s Hospital SafeKids and our Coordinated School Health Director, Jen Laurendine. Thank you for providing our 3rd graders with helmets for bike safety!

The Woodland Safety Patrol had the great opportunity to visit Washington D.C. on spring break. The students learned so much and were able to visit places like The Lincoln Memorial, Capitol Building, Museum of Natural History, The National Cathedral, and the White House.
