Woodland first graders were able to experience many winter holiday celebrations around the World in December. We began by exploring and sharing our own holiday traditions. Then we had many special guests come to teach us about other winter holiday traditions from around the World that they celebrate. Our special guests taught us about Diwali (celebrated in India), Hanukkah, Christmas in Mexico, and Christmas in Germany. We even had a special visit from the real SUGAR PLUM FAIRY from the Nutcracker Ballet!
