On Saturday, December 9th, The Woodland Hawk Bots participated in the Secret City Qualifier at Jefferson Middle School. Our 4th grade team competed against other teams comprised of 4th-8thgraders.
In front of a panel of judges, the team presented our project (an app that promotes walking and exercise while having fun) and explained how we chose our robot ideas and how we made it. The afternoon was spent participating in the Robot Game – attempting to score as many points as possible in two and a half minutes.
Our Hawk Bots won 1st place in Robot Design and qualified for the East TN Lego League Championship at Tennessee Tech in February.
