Our first graders recently celebrated our 120th day of school. One of our standards for learning is counting and writing numbers to 120, so it only seems fitting that we celebrate when we reach 120 days of school. Our students participated in several activities focused on the number 120.
We worked together to create structures using 120 items like pattern blocks, brain flakes, dominoes, and unifix cubes.
We made 120th Day crowns with 12 groups of tens on them.
We were challenged to use teamwork in creating a 120 cup tower, which is no easy feat! It was an awesome day of working together, having fun, and learning!
