Second, third, and fourth graders at Woodland are learning about and reading fiction books to prepare book reports.

To get ready for choosing fiction books, the Book Chef, AKA Ms. Callis, our librarian, hosted a “Book Tasting” where students were able to sample many genres of fiction: mystery, historical fiction, humorous fiction, realistic fiction, science fiction, and fantasy. Everyone had fun looking at old favorites, classics, and new books.

Students spent 3 to 5 minutes with each book to get a “taste” before selecting their books.
