Food Drive

November 6-14 Students are asked to bring in nonperishable food items.  The donated food will provide Thanksgiving meals to JMS families and Oak Ridge community families.  The homeroom class with the most donations wins a Chick-Fil-A breakfast and that teacher gets a gift card to the Soup Kitchen.

2017 Oak Ridge Naka-Shi Exchange

From July 1-10, 2017, ten eighth grade students and two Oak Ridge Schools staff chaperones visited Naka-shi, Japan for the twenty-sixth annual Middle School Exchange. The annual exchange is organized by the Oak Ridge Sister City Support Organization and Oak Ridge Schools.

JMS Cheerleaders

Our JMS Cheerleaders attended summer cheer camp at ETSU and earned several awards.

They placed 1st place in their division and placed 1st place overall in the camp.

The following girls earned UCA All-American Honors:  Jillian Bivens, Loren Hart & Kaylie Gallaher.

Loren Hart and Emma Cagley also earned the Pin It Forward Award.

Jefferson 7th and 8th Grade Orchestra won 1st Place

On Saturday, April 29th, 2017 the Jefferson 7th/ 8th Grade Orchestra won 1st Place at the kings Island Competition sponsored by Music Showcase Festivals. The following students won Solo Awards:
