If midterm grades are NOT where you want them to be, speak to your student and reach out by email to your student's teacher. If your student is not quite behaving as you and JMS would like, review the student code of conduct and our JMS expectation presentation below.
Midterms are this week! Midterms are a snapshot in time, designed to be a great monitoring of how students have been doing so far. It is a time for students and teachers to reflect on what needs to addressed over the next four weeks before the end of the term.
On to Week 4: School is in full swing! We have had our first sporting events, our first sets of quizzes and assessments and experiments... We are rocking!

We are really ALMOST finished with 2023-2024. So much to be thankful for, so much excitement, and so many new steps on the horizon for students. We are still full steam ahead with project-based learning and game like activities to maximize our time in classrooms. Students are learning content to jump start NEXT year.
We are really ALMOST finished with 2023-2024. So much to be thankful for, so much excitement, and so many new steps on the horizon for students as we welcomed rising 5th graders this week and are preparing our 8th graders with resumes to attend the "Get Hired" event at Roane State.
We are finally finished with our TCAPS! However, the show must go on! Students will continue to have learning opportunities in every classroom, much of it hands on and project-based. Our Eagles are expected to finish strong, and we appreciate our JMS families helping us to remind students to do their best every day, every class period, every minute!
We have ONE more testing day left. Your students take these tests seriously, and we are very appreciative. All we ask is that they come to school well-rested and with a mind to finish their testing strong.
