The 2019 JMS Spelling Bee finally came to an end after 25 rounds!
Cayce Byrd and Kevin Young battled for the winning spot during the last four rounds.
In the end, Kevin became the winner by spelling the word “deliberately” correct on the last round.
8th grader Kevin Young will represent JMS in the Southern Appalachia Regional Bee on March 16, at the UT campus in Knoxville.
We are very proud of all our spelling bee participants this year, and we wish Kevin the best of luck at the regional bee!
