The Jefferson Middle School Spelling Bee was held on January 9th.
The spelling bee lasted through 18 rounds, and we are proud of all 48 participants.
The last 5 grueling rounds contained only two spellers, the winner and the runner-up, and they battled hard for the winning position right up until the end.
Congratulations to the winner of the 2018 Jefferson Middle School Spelling Bee, 7th grader Nia Maheshwari, and our runner-up, 7th grader Grace Dobrescu.
Nia will move on to represent our school at the Regional Spelling Bee on March 17th! Good Luck, Nia, we’ll be rooting for you!
