Attention AP testers: Please be sure to bring a blue or black ball point pen, a couple #2 pencils, a calculator if your test permits it, and your ORHS badge to each test you are taking. You must present photo id to test. Don’t forget to arrive 30 minutes before testing time and leave your cell phones and/or smart watches in your car or at home. Are you a current Junior that would like to be nominated as a Wofford Scholar? Wofford announces their 69th annual Wofford Scholars Program. Qualified candidates are eligible to compete for scholarships ranging from $3,000 per year up to full scholarship, which is valued at approximately $45,000 per year. Need some volunteer or community service hours? Office of Coordinated School Health is looking for race day volunteers for our 3^rd Annual Oak Ridge Schools STOMP OUT Tobacco 5k coming up on Saturday, May 20^th at Grove Center Race Course!  Volunteers are needed anytime from 6am – 11am at your availability and all volunteers will receive a free race t-shirt!  Remember, all Oak Ridge Schools students and employees can register for FREE online before race day!  If you are interested in participating or volunteering, please contact me at jllaurendine@ortn.edu.  (5/10, 5/15, 5/17, 5/19) – J. THIS WEEK – ORHS ATHLETICS

Try outs for anyone interested in playing JV or Varsity Basketball for the 2017-2018 season will be May 15-16 (Monday-Tuesday) from 3:30 -5:00pm. If you cannot attend these 2 days but still want to try out please see coach Green. You must have a NEW physical form on file in order to try out. (5/10-5/12) – A. Green

Congratulations to the following athletes on the tennis team for their big wins over Halls last night – made even better because the team was swept by eventual District champion Halls during the regular season.  In singles, Jimin Lee won 6-4, 7-6 and Archer Marlow won 7-5, 6-2.  In doubles, Ethan and Andrew Brady won 6-1, 7-6!  All 4 of these athletes qualify for region play on Monday.  Congrats and good luck!
