Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

 

STUDENT INFO

 

Juniors and seniors, are you interested in having a parking space just for you? Student council and senior steering are working together for the Student Parking Spot fundraiser. Once approved, students will be permitted to paint their designated spots in a design of their choosing.  Applications will be available August 1st from Mrs. Wagner in LC311, and designs and payment of $50 per spot will be due August 11th.  A. The Student Council interest meeting for juniors and seniors will be held on August 3rd during 3A, in room LC311. This meeting will cover plans for the year and info about the group. Come be a part of the change you want to see in the school!  A. Wagner

Any student registered for Accounting with Mrs. Ledden 2nd Semester may go on the Discover Accounting field trip to UTK on Friday, December 1. Please email Mrs. Ledden at tledden@ortn.edu to secure your spot.  T. Ledden

The Wildcats for Change is hosting the 3rd annual back-to-school bash Saturday, July 29 from 6pm-8pm at Blankenship field.  We are inviting current students to join us for an evening with staff and students.  There will be volleyball, kick ball, arts & crafts, relay races and more!  We will also have a taco truck and Kona Ice available for food purchases.  A. CLUB INFO

 

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will Have their first meeting of the year tomorrow, Friday the 28th, at 7:10 AM at Providence House, across the street from the Wildcat Arena parking lot.  Friday’s speaker will be Thomas Cox, from Young Life and Christ Community Church.  Chick-fil-A biscuits and donuts will be provided, as always!  All students and staff are welcome for this 25-minute Christian devotion each Friday.  T. Masquers, the ORHS Theatre Club, is starting their season off with an informational meeting TODAY from 3:30-4:30 in the amphitheater across from the guidance office. If you are interested in being a part of Masquers in any way at any time during the 2023-24 school year – on or off stage – you must come to this meeting. You will learn all the ways you can get involved, about the audition workshop on Friday, July 28th, and about how to sign up for the auditions for the fall play, “Radium Girls” For more information email masquers@ortn.edu. SENIOR INFO

 

A new day begins with the beauty of Sunrise, reminding us of all the possibilities ahead. Seniors, please join your classmates this Friday to start your Last First Friday of High School at the Soccer Field at 6:15 to watch the Sunrise as we kick off our SENIOR YEAR!  B. Sparks

 

 

 

COUNSELING INFO

 

If a student wishes to try to change a class, they MUST fill out the online schedule change form (which they can access through their class canvas pages and QR codes that we’ll have posted with the Counselors).   AFTER they have filled out the online form they can come to the Amphitheater Monday – Friday (7/24-28) during the period that they want to change, and the Counselors will meet with them.

**If a student has a period where they do not have a class on their schedule, the student will come to the Amphitheater during THAT period and meet with their Counselor to get their schedule fixed.
