Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

In order to maintain safety at our school, students and staff should wear their badges to school every day.  Badges should be readily visible, this means that badges should be worn on a lanyard or clipped to your clothing in such a way that it is visible to someone walking past you. You should remain wearing your badges throughout the whole day, or as long as you are on campus. Students whose badges are not visible will receive an office referral and a consequence. The University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine is currently accepting applications for the 2017 Veterinary Summer Experience Program. Application deadline is 11:59 PM on March 31st. Those Juniors who wish to be considered for membership in National Honor Society are reminded that the signed and completed Verification of Interest forms are due to Mrs. Milloway in the Library at 3:15 TODAY .  NO LATE FORMS CAN BE ACCEPTED. (3/31) – L. Bailey

Mrs. Bauman’s AP Review will begin on Tuesday and Thursday Beginning on April 4^th for Micro and April 6^th for Macro.  Reviews are available during lunch ( bring food, I want your brain working !) , and immediately after school.   The Grand Puba wants to see all taking the exams, even if you have conflicts during these allotted times.  Remember the incentives during your class?  They are even bigger, with much higher profit involved..(3/31, 4/3) – B. Attention JUNIORS: there will be a meeting regarding applying to Boys’/Girls’ State next Monday, April 3^rd  at 3:10 in the College/Career Room located in the Counseling Office. This is a tremendous opportunity that will cost you nothing but transportation to the program. If you are interested in a week of learning more about how government/leadership works and want to participate in a program that is known nationwide to all colleges/universities, attend this meeting. All students who are registered for the Business Academy Co-op Program and/or the Virtual Enterprise Course for next year should attend one of the following mandatory informational meetings. The meetings will be held after school on Tuesday, April 4, and Thursday, April 6, beginning at 3:15 in room CS347. Plan to stay 45 minutes to an hour. If you are unable to attend either of these meetings, please see Mrs. Ledden in CS347 to schedule a time to make up the meeting. (3/30-4/3) – T. Ledden

Did you somehow miss the Prom ticket pre-sales the week before Spring Break?  Prom Board is offering a quick 2 day pre-sale Thursday April 6^th and Friday April 7^th for the same low price of $30 for singles and $60 for couples. If you miss this sale you will have to purchase your tickets the week of Prom when the prices increase to $40 and $80.

Seniors: Jostens will be delivering your graduation supplies during the lunch period on Thursday, April 6. You will pick up your supplies in room CS347 (Mrs. Ledden’s classroom). You will only be able to pick up your supplies if your balance owed is paid in full. You may bring payment on that day or pay Jostens before April 6. Checks should be made payable to Jostens.
