STUDENT INFO

Attention all Convocation ushers! There will be a mandatory meeting in the Auditorium after school on Thursday, May 11th with Madame Barry to explain and assign roles, and practice for the upcoming senior practice and actual ceremony. Please see Madame Barry in CS 307 if you have conflicts. Thank you!

 

The make-up AP English Literature and Composition Exam will be written and administered on May 17, at 12:00 p.m. If any current or past AP 12 student would like to practice writing a response, see or email Mr. Feuer: mfeuer@ortn.edu. M. Feuer

 

Mark your Calendars for TONIGHT, May 9th, from 6-8pm to check out these ORHS Businesses! This is a Free Community Event! There will be 13 Businesses represented and they will have products like bracelets, ORHS gear, bath-bombs, socks, bag tags; services like car detailing and lawncare; yummy baked goods and popcorn balls; and there is even a business working to create a great calming space here at ORHS! Come support these ORHS students by checking out their businesses and buying their products.  T. Lloyd

 

The Driving Center is now registering for summer, fall and winter break classes.  Driver Education classes include 30 hours of classroom instruction, along with six individual driving lessons.  Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate, which often reduces car insurance by as much as 25%.  Courses are taught in a fun and engaging way here in Oak Ridge at 130 Bus Terminal Road.  Visit www.thedrivingcenter.org for details or call 865-482-6700. Seniors: cap & gown sets will NOT be available for pick up on Thursday, May 11. Get them by Wednesday, or see Mrs. Ledden on Friday.  T. Ledden

 

The Oak Ridge Student Council is offering a $500 scholarship to any senior who has had an impact on the student body. Deadline to apply is this Wednesday, and a short essay will be required so be sure to apply as quickly as possible, link to the scholarship is on the Wildcat Student Hangout in Canvas. A. Wagner

 

A new day begins with the beauty of Sunrise, reminding us of all the possibilities ahead. Seniors, join us Friday, May 12 (6:45-7:30am) at the Civic Center Friendship Bell for the annual Senior Sunrise. B. Sparks

 

Aloha Seniors……..join us for a Hawaiian themed breakfast on May 15 at 7:45 in the food court to reminisce about your time at ORHS. Practice for graduation will take place immediately after breakfast.  B. Sparks
