Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

The Lady Wildcats are playing TONIGHT @ home @ 7:00 in the first round of the Regional Tournament against the Rebels from Maryville.

***Coach Wright, Coach Etheridge and Coach Gaddis have purchased 100 student tickets for tonight’s game for the first 100 students who show up at 6:30pm to the Wildcat Arena!

***Coach Gaddis is also providing 20 pizzas for the student section at tonight’s game!

***Come support the Lady Wildcats for this first round of tournament play!!***

The boys are playing on Saturday @ Hardin Valley Academy @ 7:00.  T. Seals

AP Exam payments will be taken next week during lunch in the Main Lobby.  This is your final window to pay for your exams from the Fall as well as order exams for your Spring semester AP courses. As a reminder, each exam is $97.  Seminar and Research exams are $145 each.  T. Seals

Have you always wanted to play on a Boys Volleyball team? If so, you’ve got a one-day-only chance! The PowderPuff Volleyball tournament will take place on Friday April 21st.  If you’re interested, get a form from Mr. Kolodney in CS 213 and return it to him with your $20.  Only the first 20 boys from each grade to sign up get to play! Get your forms turned in by March 13th to guarantee a t-shirt.  The final deadline is April 10th.  T. Seals

Students are reminded that the first row of parking in the Turnpike parking lot closest to the building is “staff parking”.  A staff parking tag is required to park in that and all staff parking areas on campus.  T. Seals

Outside food – Students are not allowed to have outside food delivered or bring outside food back into the building upon returning from open campus.  However, drinks are permitted.   (Admin)

Senior girls – the deadline to submit the application for the PEO Star Scholarship is this Friday!  If you need the application, stop by the Counseling Office. (W,Th,F 2/24) A. O’Rourke

Seniors: The time has come to select speakers for the ORHS Class of 2023 Graduation and Convocation ceremonies.  Tryouts will be virtual this year. For specific information about how to audition, please visit the Class of 2023 Canvas page and find the announcement regarding tryouts. The deadline to upload a submission is April 7 at 3:00 p.m.  G. COUNSELING INFO

Admit it, you’re already thinking about summer!  The Counseling Office Scholarship Page has great summer and pre-college opportunities listed.  For instance, do you want to learn about AI with instructors from Stanford, MIT and Carnegie Mellon University– even if you do not have any coding experience?  There is a link to this AI camp with a scholarship application on our website.  This camp is open to all high school students and the scholarship application deadline is March 15th.  Check the Counseling Office Scholarship page for this and other opportunities to make the most of your summer!   A. ATHLETICS

It’s not too late to get your Student Athletic Pass – the price is now $45.  This will get you in to any home regular season event for Basketball and all Spring sports.   Get your SAP ASAP in the Main Office.
