Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Did you know that almost 300 of the school’s 750 ordered yearbooks have already been sold? Get yours before the price goes up on October 1st! They are currently on sale for $65 at yearbookordercenter.com or through the forms located on the outside of Ms. Hale’s door, CS328.

It’s another week full of exciting College Rep visits!  TODAY there is a virtual visit hosted by Northwestern University during lunch (go to the Counseling Office to get the link).  After school on Wednesday MTSU will be in the Counseling Office and Thursday UTK will be in the Counseling Office after school.  Don’t miss these opportunities!

Auditions for ORHS Masquers Showcase and  Band Auditions for the Spring Musical: The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical, are on Monday, September 26th. Come pick up an audition form and sign up for an audition slot today. Forms with the link to audition sign up are on the Masquers Office Door by the Wildcat Door leading to the cafeteria. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to be part of the showcase or The Lightning Thief Band. More audition information is available at orhsmasquers.my.canva.site.

Bonjour! French Club will meet right after school for a cheese-tasting in Madame P’s room CS 304 on Thursday, September 22nd.  See Madame P or Madame B to sign up to bring something! Merci!

SENIOR INFO

Seniors: Please remember to remind your parents that senior ads for the back of the yearbook are only available to purchase through November 1, either through the forms outside Ms. Hale’s door (CS328) or through yearbookordercenter.com. Don’t miss out!!

TODAY, 9/20, the Class of 2023 will be participating in TN Promise/Community College Day. This annual event is when members of the TN Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) and Roane State meet with our Seniors and help them apply for the TN Promise Scholarship and apply to a community college. For some of our students, this will be their safety plan, but for others, this will solidify their post-secondary plans. For the last two years, half of our college bound students have made the choice to use their TN Promise and attend a community college. We are thankful that TSAC and RSCC set aside this day to come and meet with our students. Attendance will be taken and is mandatory. It will be the same schedule that we followed for Senior Seminars. The schedule is under the Announcement Section of the Class of 2023 Canvas Page and has been emailed to all students.
