STUDENT INFO
Did you see the lines at the ticket booth on Friday night? Don’t get caught in line this week and save over $100 by purchasing a Student Athletic Pass. For $55 you can have a front row seat for all regular season home athletic events. Athletic passes will be on sale Monday – Thursday this week in the Main Office.
If you are attending the leadership summit on September 7, 2022, you should report to the Wildcat Arena for 1st period that morning. (F, Tu, W) A. King
The tradition continues! It’s time for the Senior Shirt Design Contest—the shirt that every senior gets to sign. Please submit your designs for the Class of 2023 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Thursday, September 22. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt – the contest is open to all grade levels. We need a front of shirt design and a back of shirt design. Each of these designs is a separate contest with its own $25 prize – $50 if you win both! Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2023 into your drawings. Place your name and first period teacher’s name on the back of each design entry. Entries must be original work, and if selected will become the property of Oak Ridge High School. (Selection committee reserves the right to combine two or more designs in which case each person will receive prize money.

Do you want to learn how to run a business, build a 150lb robot, or learn to program? Our Secret City Wildbots FIRST robotics team might be for you. We organize our team like a startup business and need a wide variety of skills; all of which you learn here. At robotics we use digital media and public relations, innovation, and really cool machinery, like a 5-axis CNC, to be the best team we can be, to win competitions, have fun, and make lifelong friends. The soft and hard skills you learn here are all real world applicable and companies in many fields are looking for these skills. We are a high-performance team that has competed at the World Championships 10 out of 11 years. If interested contact Dr. Mark Buckner at mbuckner@ortn.edu, talk to an existing member, or come see what we are all about Tuesdays and Thursdays 6-9 in the G-building.
