AP Exam Registration is coming soon! Students who plan to take an AP Exam this spring must register in the main lobby Monday, February 6 through Wednesday, February 8. The registration table will be open before school, during lunch, and after school. Students can choose to pay for all of their exams up front ($93 per exam) or pay in 3 installments ($31 per exam, per installment). An initial payment must be made at the time of registration. Last month, people from all walks of life took to the streets around the country and the world – inspired by those who walked before them. Who will inspire the next generation? The Center for Children’s and Young Adult Literature at UTK is sponsoring the 3rd annual African American Read-In. ORHS has been invited to participate and we will be recording students as they read a favorite poem or an excerpt from an African American-authored text (like a speech, a short story, or an essay) on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 7 and 8th, in our very own Wildcat Studio. The videos will be aired on the UTK campus, Friday, Feb. 24th from noon-6pm in Hodges Library. If you are interested, please come by the library for more information, for help picking something to read, and to pick up a permission slip. You MUST have a signed permission slip to participate.
