STUDENTS – How would you like to get in free to Tuesday’s basketball game against Karns? ORHS is hosting Basketball & Books night for the February 4th home game. NAACP, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and the Oak Ridge Interfaith Community invite ORHS students to sign up for The Express Yourself Youth Talent Show. The show will be held at the Historic Grove Theater on February 22, 2020 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm. COUNSELING INFO
Registration for the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine’s 2020 Veterinary Summer Experience Program is open. This program has been designed to provide valuable educational experiences and acquaint students with all facets of the Veterinary Medicine profession. Students will shadow in local veterinary practices for five weeks and then spend one week in Knoxville as guests of the veterinary college. While there, students will be involved in various educational programs including lectures, laboratories, and clinical rotations. Applications must be electronically submitted by 11:59pm on March 1, 2020. Supplemental materials must be postmarked by March 7, 2020. Crossroads Christian Church is offering the Jimm A Snoddy Memorial Scholarship to graduating high school seniors who are performing well academically, who demonstrate character in their life, and who will be enrolling in a post-secondary education institution (university, community college, or other two year training program) with plans to complete a degree or training program in the career fields of music, math/sciences or health sciences. This is a one-time scholarship provided to assist candidates with the purchase of books and/or other academic materials in their programs.
