STUDENT INFO

Current juniors who are not in a Business Academy class this year but have the prerequisites and are interested in the Business Academy Work-Based Learning Program (Co-op) for next year, please see Mrs. Ledden in CS347, for registration and scheduling information by Friday, January 31. The National German Exam will take place on Tuesday, January 28^th during 1st until 3rd period in the Library classroom. (T,Th 1/14-1/28) – S. Nebenfuer

STUDENTS –  How would you like to get in free to Tuesday’s basketball game against Karns?  ORHS is hosting Basketball & Books night for the February 4^th home game.  Any student bringing a new or gently used children’s or young adult book will help provide books for elementary and middle school students in our area.  (Tu, Th, M) –  T. ACT Prep—On Wednesday, January 29, join Coach Etheridge and Ms. Flanders in the Amphitheatre from 2:00-3:30 to prep for the ACT English test. We will look at punctuation rules, take a practice test, and examine the results. Please email Coach Etheridge (AEtheridge@ortn.edu) to reserve a seat. (1/28-1/29) – A. Etheridge

NHS Tutoring: Anna MacKay and Miles Jackson are offering high quality tutoring after school on Tuesday in the Counseling Center. Come see then between 3:15-3:50 for help with any of your ORHS assignments. (1/28) – A. Etheridge

ORHS is hosting a mini college fair in the food court on Tuesday, January  28th from 11:30-12:30. (Tu) – H. Foster

A representative from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) will be in the Counseling Office immediately after school on Tuesday, January 28^th.  Come by to meet the representative and see if SCAD is the right path for you. ((Tu) – A. Campbell

A representative from the University of Alabama will be visiting ORHS immediately after school on Wednesday, January 29^th.  Stop by the Counseling Office to meet the representative and learn more about the opportunities offered. (F, Tu, W) – A. Campbell

ATHLETICS NEXT WEEK

Tuesday, January 28 is SENIOR NIGHT in the WILDCAT ARENA –   SENIORS get in free tonight with your student ID as the Wildcat’s take on the Panthers from Powell.  Boys JV play @ 4:30 – Girls Varsity @ 6:00 with Boys Varsity following @ 7:30.
