Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Winter Formal is coming up soon and Snow Court applications are now available. Selections will be made based on contributions to the school and the Oak Ridge community. Applications can be found in Ms. Wagner’s room (LC331), and all are due by Wednesday, Jan. 15^th  (W, F, M)  A. Wagner

ACT Practice: The Oak Ridge Chapter of the NAACP and Oak Ridge Schools are co-sponsoring Saturday ACT Prep sessions at the Scarboro Center on Saturday, January 25, and Saturday, February 1, from 8:00 AM-11:30 AM. On the 25th we will focus on the English and Reading tests, and on the 1^st  we’ll focus on the Math and Science tests.  Instructors include Ms. Estep, Ms. Hale, Ms. Vaughan, Ms. Hondorf, Dr. Thomas, and Coach Etheridge. If you’d like to participate, please email Coach Etheridge (Aetheridge@ortn.edu) and indicate the date(s) that interest you. In particular, we’d like to see students who cannot attend our Wednesday afternoon sessions, but all students are welcome. We’ll have door prizes and lunch.

February 26, 2020            ACT Science Practice at ORHS (2:00-3:30)**

March 4, 2020                  ACT Cram Sessions (2:00-3:00 at ORHS)

March 11, 2020                ACT Strategies (2:00-3:00 at ORHS)

The dates with asterisks (**) require pre-registration so that we know to reserve a seat for you. To pre-register, email Coach Etheridge (aetheridge@ortn.edu)and indicate the session that interests you. CLUB INFO

Attention Anime Club members and participants – the meeting scheduled for today, January 13th, is cancelled.  Our Monday meetings will resume on January 27^th since we are not in school next Monday.  Hope to see you there!  (M) – H. Lintz

The FBLA Club will have their next meeting on Tuesday, January 28^th  at 7:15 in CS345.  (W) – C. Stalliard

National Honor Society will meet immediately after school in LC327 on Monday, January 13. All NHS members, including those inducted at the end of last term, are required to attend in order to help schedule tutoring for the rest of the year. (M) – K. Senter

ATHLETICS NEXT WEEK

There will be a mandatory 2020 Outdoor Track Season Meeting Tuesday January 14th in LC 326 immediately after school for all athletes who are planning to run. We will go over schedule, procedures, and rules. (W,F,M, Tu) – T. Sauer
