Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

The Driving Center has posted the 2020 Driver Education Classes on its website, thedrivingcenter.org   Please take a look at the schedule to see if one of their classes will fit your schedule. Seats are limited so sign up early. (Tu, Th  12.17) –  T. Seals

Lost and Found- If you have lost any items during the 2nd nine-week term, please come to the Attendance Office and check the lost and found.  Items will be donated during the Winter Break. (Tu, Th – 12.19) – C. Rhinehart

Any student going to take their permit test during the Winter Break will need a SF1010 form from the Attendance office.  Please get the form before you leave for break. (Tu, Th – 12.19) – C. Rhinehart

ADFAC is in need of volunteers on Monday and Tuesday after school to help with a large mailing.  Community service hours will be awarded and snacks will be provided.  At least ten seniors are needed!!  Please contact Mrs. Thompson by email (sathompson@ortn.edu), Twitter or come by the office ASAP if you can volunteer! Calling all crafty kids.  The holidays are expensive but not when you DIY holiday crafts or a gift for your favorite person!  Come by the makerspace in the library as quickly as you can to get started – supplies are running out! (12/17 – 12/19) – C. Milloway

Do you have a lot of friends, but not a lot of money to buy them all Christmas gifts? Senior Steering is here to help! For just one dollar, you can write a personalized note to be delivered, along with a sweet candy cane, to your friends during homeroom on Thursday. NHS Tutoring: This is the last week before the end of the term. Make all of your winter dreams come true by getting help  from  Justin Blanchard and Logan Roeling in Counseling after school from 3:15-3:50 on Tuesday.  (12/17) – A. Etheridge

ORHS begins our Spring 2020 ACT series after the Winter Break as we lead up to the March 31 Schoolwide ACT for juniors. On Wednesday, January 8, at 2:00 PM in the Amphitheatre we will focus on the Reading sub-test in a session that should last for about 90 minutes. Sessions this spring will look a little different from the fall sessions: we will first learn about a high-value ACT standard, then we will take the sub-test, and then we will examine the results during that session.  Please sign up (so that I have a test and answer sheet for you) by emailing AEtheridge@ortn.edu and indicating your interest. Although we want to draw as many juniors as possible, all ORHS students are welcome to participate. (12/17-12/18) – A. Etheridge

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in Dr. Colquitt’s room, CS 235, on Friday until 5:00 pm. Please note that we will leave at 5:00, not 6:00. (12/17, 12/19,12/20) – R. Colquitt

If you took the PSAT in October, the scores have arrived.  Come by the counseling office before school, during lunch or after school to pick up your Score Report. (12/16-12/18) – A. Campbell
