Want to avoid the line this Friday night – How would you like to save more than $100 and have access to every home athletic event this year? (This includes Volleyball, Soccer (Boys & Girls) – Basketball – Baseball – Softball & Track) You can do that by purchasing an All-Sports Athletic Pass for ONLY $55.00. Intersession Forms are available in student services and the school counseling office. If you have a failing grade in a class, you have the opportunity to improve you grade during intersession, Sept. 30th through October 3. We are also offering an ACT prep course just in time for the upcoming October ACT tests. Forms must be submitted no later than noon on Friday, September 27th. (9/19-9/27) – B. Estep

Time is running out to purchase your yearbook at the lowest price of the year! As of October 1, prices will go up to $75. Right now, you may still purchase one for $65 by using the forms outside Ms. Byrd’s room (CS328) or through the website www.balfour.com (9/23-9/25) – R. Byrd
NHS Tutoring: On Tuesday, September 24, everyone will have a fresh start, as Term 2 has just begun. Take advantage of that clean slate by joining Jean Vance and Brianna Marcopulos for help with your new assignments on Tuesday from 3:15-3:50 in the Counseling Center. (9/24) – A. Etheridge
ACT Prep: If you signed up to take the English and Reading practice tests, meet Coach Etheridge in the Amphitheater by 1:55 PM on Wednesday, September 25. The English portion takes 45 minutes, while the Reading test takes 35. I’ll have your scores by the Monday when we return from Fall Break, and then we will go over the highest value questions on Wednesday, October 16, in LC 327, at 2:00 PM. Student Council is hosting the first ever Homecoming Cookout and Parade this Thursday night from 6-8pm at the front loop of the school. We will have a parade of clubs and sports, the official presentation of the Homecoming Court, an auction to benefit the football team, food, games, and performances. Come join us to celebrate Homecoming and hype up the community before taking on the dragons Friday night. (9/23-9/26) – A. Wagner
Every Wednesday, Masquers hosts an Actors Workshop. This is for all ORHS students whether they are involved with Masquers or not. The goal is to sharpen your skills for the upcoming auditions for THE LITTLE MERMAID in December. The Workshop is every Wednesday from 2-3:30 in Ms. Ragan’s room. The workshop is taught by a professional actor and director, Amy Uptgraft, a new member of the Masquers Community Team. (9/9-9/30, MT) – V. Moreno

Go to the ORHS website, under Academics select School Counseling – scroll to the bottom of the page to click “Testing, Scholarship, College Summer Programs and Career Links”. Seniors: Jostens will return to the Main Lobby and Arena Concessions’ Kiosk on Thursday, October 17, during lunch to collect orders for graduation supplies.
