Exploring career options? Looking at college applications? Thinking about life after ORHS? If so, please join Dr. Colquitt in CS 235 on Thursday, January 17 after school for Small Talk. We will decide on a meeting day and time for the semester, generate a list of topics for the year, and plan events to help answer the questions you have. Be prepared to stay until 3:45. The Computer Science Club is offering a computer science tutorial for beginners in Python this Wednesday, January 16, in Mr. Jackson’s room, LC227 until 3pm. All are welcome! No prior coding knowledge is needed.  (1/14-1/16) – K. Jackson

COUNSELING INFO

East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is happy to announce that ETF 2019 Scholarship Applications will be available on our website, www.etf.org/scholarships, beginning November 1, 2018.  All ETF scholarship applications must be completed and submitted online. The application deadline for 2019 scholarships is February 15, 2019. (Tu – 2.15)  A. Morris

The ORHS Counseling Department will host a parent evening on course selection and registration for the 2019-2020 school year next Thursday evening, January 17th from 6:00-7:30 pm in the ORHS Amphitheater. In this seminar, counselors will go over the information that they present to students in their classroom seminars. They will also explain the process for online course registration (1/10, 1/14, 1/16) – B. Ottinger
