It’s that time of year…Prom Season!! Prom will take place in the Wildcat Arena on Saturday, April 26th, from 7:30-11:00 pm. Prom tickets will be on sale from Monday April 21st to Thursday April 24th for $50 per ticket. You must pay with CASH or CHECK – NO CARD PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Tickets are non-refundable. The prom board will be selling tickets in the concession stand outside of the Wildcat Arena during third block to JUNIOR AND SENIOR STUDENTS ONLY. No freshman or sophomore students will be allowed to purchase a ticket.
The application window for students who wish to join the National Honor Society is open through today, Friday, April 11th. To be eligible, you must be a JUNIOR with a 3.8 weighted GPA. Please click on the link on your class canvas page or in the iNews to apply. If you have any questions, please see Dr. Thomas or Mr. Feuer.
Atomic Acts is tonight at 7pm in the auditorium. Join us for a series of 7 short dramatic and comedic plays directed by students and performed by Masquers veterans and newcomers. Tickets are $5 at the door or online at orhsmasquers.booktix.com. We hope to see you there!

Calling all talented artists! Are you creative and love the Wildcat spirit? We’re excited to announce a Convocation Cover contest for the Class of 2025! All AP English Language and Composition students: Ms. Jordan will be hosting a review session focused on multiple choice on the AP Language Exam held after school in CS331 on Wednesday 4/16 at 2:00PM. All AP Lang students are welcome.
Now for your AP Exams/Cyber Security Kickstart Exam Testing information. All testing this year will be held at Roane State Community College’s Goff Building in Oak Ridge, beginning on Monday, May 5th and continuing through Friday, May 24th. All students must report to Roane State’s Goff Building with their device next Wednesday, April 16th anytime between 2:00pm and 4:30pm to prepare their device for upcoming testing. This process should take approximately 10-15 minutes. To expedite this process, restart your computer before you arrive so it can perform updates. All test-related information, such as testing schedules, room locations, important announcements, and updates, will be communicated through ParentSquare & StudentSquare.
SENIORS
Please come and join us for the Annual Senior Tea, Honoring The Class of 2025 on Wednesday, April 16, 2:15-3:30 in the ORHS cafeteria. Dress as an Author or Favorite Book Character, bring your costume to change into right after school, and hopefully win one of 6 gift cards. Cash prizes will also be given as door prizes just for attending! Delicious light refreshments will be served along with tea and lemonade. All Seniors are invited to attend the Tea and kick off the Senior Activities! If you have any questions, email jzimprich@ortn.edu.
Seniors! You need to register for your FREE ticket to Graduation Celebration! Every senior is invited, but you must register! How else will we know how much food/how many buses/how many free “do everything at The Main Event” passes to have ready?!? Remember that if you will not be 18 when you graduate, you must complete a hard copy (on paper!) of the registration plus register online. Hard copies were snail mailed and handed out with senior supplies; forms are also available in Student Services, or you may use the fillable form on Canvas and email to the email address on form. There will be a $100 Cash Drawing at the Senior Tea for a lucky student from all who are registered by then! Student Council and Class Officer elections are fast approaching. Any current freshmen, sophomore, or junior in good standing is eligible to run for a position. Go to the Wildcat Canvas Hangout Page to find more information and to access the applications to get on the ballot for Student Council or your grade. All applications are due April 16th at 4pm and candidates will be announced on April 17th!

ATHLETICS
Powder Buff sign-ups are happening now. You can visit the sign-up table during lunch hour. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the table will be outside the Arena and on Wednesdays, the table will be in the cafeteria. The cost is $20 per player. Grab your friends and sign up to compete against the other grade levels! For more information, see a volleyball girl or Coach Ellis in LC 222.
