Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

 

STUDENT INFO

 

This year there will be no costumes worn to school on Halloween.  Students

are encouraged to participate and dress up for Trunk or Treat on October 30th.

If students show up in costumes on Halloween, they will need to go home and

The counseling department will have a few colleges visiting in October, all are immediately after school in the College and Career Room.

Any Sophomore or Junior interested in attending Governor’s School during Summer 2025, please see the detailed Canvas announcement on your Class of 2026 and Class of 2027 Canvas Page. Canvas pages include the attached list of Governor’s Schools offered by the state and the Governor’s School Intent Form. To be considered for Governor’s School, students must adhere to the deadlines set by ORHS when applying. Late applications will not be accepted. – B. Ottinger

 

Hilarious Halloween antics will ensue at the Masquers Improv Show THIS Saturday, October 26th at 7pm. Come join us for a fun evening of improv games and laughs. Tickets are $5 online at orhsmasquers.booktix.com or with cash at the door. You’ll have a frightfully good time!

Also, Don’t miss the Masquers Fall Showcase on Saturday, November 9th at 7pm! This Showcase will feature more than 60 students as singers, dancers, and musicians. This is the first time our new Theatre class will participate in a public performance. Come see our talented students perform large and small group numbers, dynamic duets & stunning solos from various musicals. Tickets are $5 online at orhsmasquers.booktix.com or with cash at the door.

 

Any student at ORHS can order a class ring. Jostens ring packets are available in the Main Office and from Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Rings ordered by Friday, October 25, will be delivered by December 17. See Mrs. Ledden if you have questions.

 

It’s the last day of Idle Free Week at Oak Ridge High School.  Did you know that dangerous particles of air pollution are smaller than the width of a human hair? So…when it gets in your lungs we can’t do anything about it. Air pollution worsens heart and lung disease and can cause serious health problems like lung cancer. Did you know idling your car can contribute to that? Think about that and idle as little as you can. – L. Wilmoth

Attention All Dragonborn, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, and Adventurers! Today the adventure continues as the Dungeons and Dragons Club embarks on another thrilling journey!

We will be meeting today from 3:15 to 4:30 in The Arcane Alcove (also known as Dr. Denisar’s room CS239)
