Would you like to help plan Prom 2025? The ORHS Prom Board is open to all students Freshmen- Seniors who would like to share ideas and work together to make decisions regarding the prom theme, poster designs, decorations, save the dates, songs for the DJ and more! If you be interested in joining Prom Board 2025 please pick up a petition and permission form from Ms. Theele in VA 102 or Ms. Eidam Dyer in LC 313.
The next two weeks are big college visit weeks!!! This week we have Dartmouth today and Yale on Thursday in the Counseling Office after school. Stop by, meet the rep, ask a question, let them know you’re interested in their school! –O’Rourke

Looking for a volunteer opportunity? On Saturday, Sept. 28th CNSCares will be having a Fall Picnic honoring former and current Y12 workers. They need volunteers to come right after school on Friday, September 27th and around 10:00am on Saturday, September 28th. This would be a way to support the Senior Citizens of Oak Ridge to share how Oak Ridge Schools are carrying on the tradition of making Oak Ridge such an excellent city. Anyone looking to get extra help preparing for the ACT test can sign up for the ACT Boot Camp, which will be held the first four days of Fall Break, September 30 to October 3. Sessions will be from 8-11 a.m. in the amphitheater, and each day will focus on a different section of the test. This opportunity is free, but transportation will not be provided and lunch will not be served. Sign up links are in the class Canvas pages, the iNews, and have been sent through ParentSquare. Celebrate National Voter Registration Day! The League of Women Voters of Oak Ridge in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority will be right outside the library today, Tuesday, September 17, during lunch. Please stop by to say hello and register if you are eligible. –C. Milloway.
It’s never too early to start looking at your post-secondary options. Join us for the College & Career Fair on Monday, 9/23/24 in the Wildcat Arena from 5pm-6:30pm. College, Military and Career representatives will be on site. – A. King
Homecoming Dance Tickets are on sale now until September 27th (unless we sell out before) in the cafeteria during lunch. Tickets are $25. The dance is on Saturday, September 28th at the DoubleTree Hotel. Only ORHS students can attend. -P. Taylor

Crisp mornings and cool afternoons! Sounds like time for apple picking and corduroy, right? WRONG! It’s time for Motorcycle Club! We will have our first meeting this Friday, September 20th during lunch in the bus loop. If you ride, bring your bike! If not, just bring yourself!
