STUDENT INFO

National Honor Society will be holding an informational meeting and officer elections for the 2024-2025 school year at 3:15 on Thursday, May 2, in LC 326. All new NHS members should attend. See Mr. Feuer in LC 319 or Dr. Thomas in LC 110 if you are unable to attend.  M. Feuer

Class Officer and Student Council elections will be held tomorrow, Friday April 26th on Skyward. Grade levels vote for their representatives, and all students freshmen through junior year vote for the Student Council representatives. The polls are open 8am-2pm on 4/26, and the winners will be announced at the end of the school day.  A. Wagner

Guess what’s new in the cafeteria?  MOO BREW!! This delicious iced-coffee is served fresh every Tuesday- Friday and is part of a normal breakfast.  It even has 8 grams of protein!  M. Wade

LAST DAY! Tickets for Diamond of the Season, Prom 2024, will be on sale Monday April 22^nd through Thursday April 25th and in the Arena Kiosk during 3rd period. Tickets WILL NOT BE SOLD Friday April 26th or at the door. The line is normally the shortest during the middle of 3rd and will close 5 minutes before the end of the period.  S. Dyer

CLUB INFO

Looking for a fun and easy way to get active and make new friends? Come join pickle ball club! Pickle ball is the fastest growing sport in the US and is a great way to get moving and have fun with a supportive community.  Pickling happens every Friday from 3:30-5:30 on the courts by the turnpike.  If interested see Kolodney, Feuer, or Jarnigan.  – D. Dungeons and Dragons Club meets on Fridays in CS329 from 3:15 to 4:30. Remember, the dice giveth and the dice taketh away! See Ms. Denisar for more information.  E. Denisar

Seniors – Share your post-graduation plans!  Are you taking advantage of the TN Promise and going to a community college?  Going straight into the workforce?  Heading to a 4-year college or going to get training for your future career at a technical school?  Maybe you’re joining the armed forces or doing some other something amazing!  We are proud of you and want to share your plans.  Go to your class Canvas page and complete the Exit Survey so we can cheer you on to your next adventure!  A. Student Council is offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving Oak Ridge High School Senior graduating in 2024. Applications can be found on the Wildcat Canvas Hangout page, and they are due on May 8th. The winner will be presented at the Powderpuff Games on May 10th.  A. Wagner

The ORHS English Department is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating senior who plans to attend a two- or four-year college or university. This year essays will be composed and submitted in person on Monday, April 29, after school from 3:15-4:15 in CS 319. To register, see Mr. Feuer in CS 319 for an application form. All responses will be anonymously reviewed, and a winner chosen by a committee of teachers across multiple subjects.  M. Feuer
