STUDENT INFO

Attention Junior Health Science students: Applications are now being accepted for next year’s Clinical Internship program and the Nursing Education course. If you are interested in applying for the Clinical Internship program, please see Mrs. Minarik to get an application – room CS200. If you are interested in applying for Nursing Ed. for the fall, please see Mrs. Pointer to pick up an application – room CS201. To be considered for either, you must have completed all required courses. Applications will NOT be accepted after Friday, February 9.  S. Minarik

The National Honor Society will be accepting applications beginning today. The application window is from 2/5 to 2/9. The application and requirements can be found on the Junior Canvas page. Please email Dr. Thomas or Mr. Feuer if you have any questions.  S. Thomas

Deadline Extended!!  Don’t forget, between now and February 7th, 2024, Oak Ridge students can submit artwork for ORNL Federal Credit Union’s Community Art & Mural Program competition. The competition allows for local school students to submit artwork for a chance to not only have their design recreated on a large scale, public platform, but to win a $100 cash prize for the student (or team) and a $500 cash prize for their school’s art programs. The subject matter for the mural should capture the idea of “new beginnings.” S. Thompson

CLUB INFO

Youth Leadership Oak Ridge, YLOR, will be meeting this Wednesday, February 7th at the Chamber of Commerce. Please arrive at the Chamber by 2:15pm.  T. Seals

The Interact Club will meet TODAY, Monday, February 5 after school until 4:30 in the amphitheater.  We will be working on two different community service projects.  A. King

Senior Steering will meet Wednesday, February 7, during the full lunch period in Mrs. Sparks room, CS250. Please come if you’d like to help plan spring events.  B. Sparks

ATHLETICS

Tryouts for Tennis Teams begin February 12^th from 3:30 to 4:30 on the ORHS Courts.  A Sports Physical Form must be on file by February 7th in order to try out. We hope to see you there! D. Bowman
