Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Sophomores –  This Friday, TONIGHT! is your night to show your spirit for Neon Night in the Arena.  Sophomores get in free as the Wildcats host the Rebels from Knox West. Boys JV game starts @ 4:30, Girls Varsity @ 6:00 and Boys Varsity @ 7:30. This Friday is also the night we will recognize the ORHS Bowling Cats prior to the Boys Varsity Game. (Th,F 1/27) T. Seals

Remember: Medic is coming TODAY!, Friday, January 27. If you have signed up, please remember to eat a full meal prior to and after donating and drink a lot of water to properly hydrate. If you have not signed up yet, but want to, come see Mrs. Minarik in CS200. If you are 16, you need parent’s permission. (Get form from Mrs. Minarik) Ages 17 and 18 do not need permission. CLUB INFO

Join Philosophy Club after school TODAY, Friday in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for a discussion on the social and ethical impacts of social media and electronic communications. We will also take our club photo for the yearbook at the start of the meeting. (Th,F 1/27) A. Pickering

The Interact Club will meet on Monday, 1/30 after school until 4pm in the amphitheater.  Our club focuses on volunteering in our community. If you’re still looking for a club to join, check us out! (Th,F,M 1/30) A. King

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in CS 235 after school until 5 pm TODAY, Friday, January 27. Bring your cards and be ready to duel. If you don’t have cards, we have extras for you. This club is open to all ORHS students. See you then! (Tu,Th,F 1/27) R. Colquitt

SENIOR INFO

Seniors!!!  We’ve had lots of questions about scholarships – where to find them, how to apply, and what am I eligible for.  Lucky for you the Counseling Office website gives you TONS of information answering those questions.  Check out the scholarship page and try one of the scholarship search websites, like TSAC scholarships, or College-Scholarships.com – you’ll find numerous scholarships that might be the right one for you!  We’ve recently added new links to scholarships for beauty school, pursuing a heavy-machinery themed program, even scholarships that have no GPA, testing or essay requirements – just a survey to complete.  And of course, we have the East Tennessee Foundation Scholarships which are specifically for students in our part of the state.  Go to the website or stop by the Counseling Office to get more information. It’s not too late to get your Student Athletic Pass – the price is now $45.  This will get you in to any home regular season event for Basketball and all Spring sports.   Get your SAP ASAP in the Main Office
