STUDENT INFO
Today we have the oldest rivalry in the book: Country vs. Country Club. Tomorrow is our big Wildcat day, so show up in your best school swag! Make sure to take a picture and tag us on Instagram @orhs_stuco. Best outfits will get $10 gift cards!
Encourage your artist friends to submit designs for the Class of 2023 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Thursday, September 22. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt—open to all grade levels.
**We need a front shirt design and a back shirt design. Prizes: Front – $25; Back – $25. (That’s $50 if you win both!)
**Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2023 into your drawings. See Mrs. Ledden if you would like to see designs from previous years.
Soccer Club of Oak Ridge needs lots of volunteers to help with a tournament on September 24th and 25th. If you are interested, Mrs. Thompson sent the form to all student email addresses on Sunday, September 11th. The form can also be found on your grade level Canvas pages! Deadline to signup is September 15th.
“God didn’t create metal so that man could make paper clips!” – Harley Davidson
Join the Motorcycle Club at lunch today in the bus loop to see what else you can make with metal! Bring your lunch, and bike if you have one, to help us plan for a year of demos, bike talk and learning about how to ride and maintain your motorcycle. Have lunch obligations? See Ms. Hondorf in LC210 before lunch to discuss a pass.
CLUB INFO
The YuGi-Oh! Club will NOT meet on Friday, September 16. We will resume our meetings on September 23. Have a great homecoming weekend!
SENIOR INFO
Tuesday, September 20th, the Class of 2023 will be participating in TN Promise/Community College Day. This annual event is when members of the TN Student Assistance Corporation (TSAC) and Roane State meet with our Seniors and help them apply for the TN Promise Scholarship and apply to a community college. For some of our students, this will be their safety plan, but for others, this will solidify their post-secondary plans. For the last two years, half of our college bound students have made the choice to use their TN Promise and attend a community college. We are thankful that TSAC and RSCC set aside this day to come and meet with our students. Attendance will be taken and is mandatory. It will be the same schedule that we followed for Senior Seminars. The schedule is under the Announcement Section of the Class of 2023 Canvas Page and has been emailed to all students.
