Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Listen carefully to this important OR update.  Starting Monday, the OR groups will be changing for the foreseeable future.  Monday will be a Freshman/Junior day and Tuesday will be a Sophomore/Senior day.  The days will continue to alternate with those groups going forward.  Make sure you know if you have OR by checking your emails and by listening to your 2nd and 4th period teachers.  Also, if you have a credit bearing class anytime during 3rd block you should attend that class and go to OR for the rest of the period.  These class include Tier classes and any other class for which you receive a grade but does not include the walking class.  If you are assigned to both Lunch Detention and OR on the same day, Lunch Detention takes priority.  And remember, if you just turn in your assignments on time this will NEVER apply to you. UPPERCLASSMEN: Do you want to personalize your parking spot?  Please bring your application, design, and payment to the Cheerleading Coaches on Tuesday and Thursday 3:45 pm-7:00 pm at the Wildcat Arena! If your design is approved, you’ll be able to paint your spot on the following painting days.    SENIORS: Saturday, Aug. 20th   JUNIORS: Saturday, Sept. 3^rd (M,W,F)

CLUB INFO

If you are a current or spring semester student in Early Childhood Education, we invite you to join our club, FCCLA. Please bring your $14 to Mrs. Sparks in room CS 250 by August 31. Then join us August 31 for the new member breakfast. (8/18,19,25,29) – B. Sparks

Join Philosophy Club after school today in Mr. Pickering’s room for a discussion on the various fields and topics of philosophy. We will also hold officer elections for the year. New members are always welcome! (F) – A. Pickering

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in CS 235 after school on Friday, August 19. We will hand out and play cards until 4:30 pm. Make sure you have a ride home! (F) – R. Colquitt

FBLA—Future Business Leaders of America is an international organization for students who have an interest in Business. If you have previously taken business classes, are enrolled in business classes now or next semester, or just have an interest in Business, you are invited to come to the first organizational meeting for the 22-23 school year after school on Tuesday, August 23, in CS347. Senior Seminar for Parents will now be on Tuesday, August 30th from 6-7 p.m. in the ORHS Amphitheater. If senior parents are unable to attend, all information will also be emailed.
