Students – To avoid interruptions or down time in computer usage, there is a REQUIRED UPDATE for installing the Windows Update that must be done before May 16: ***This is especially important if you are taking a Statewide Dual Credit exam on May 16 or 17, or if you need to use your computers for class those days; if the update is not completed before May 16, the update will be forced and you will be unable to use your computer until the update is complete.*** There is an announcement in Canvas or look for an email from Skyward with important information about THIS Windows update that MUST be done before May 16. TODAY, May 13, yearbooks will be distributed in the B-Gym during a first period assembly schedule. You will be dismissed by announcement to pick up your book if you already ordered one, or you may purchase a book for $85, cash only, during that time. This summer, ORNL is excited to host SAGE (Science Accelerating Girls’ Engagement) Summer Camp, a weeklong program for rising 10th-12th grade girls to explore STEM possibilities for their futures. SENIORS LISTEN UP! This announcement is worth about $10,000. Are you planning to use the TnPromise Scholarship?? If so, Mrs. Thompson has sent all eligible seniors an email to provide you an update regarding your community service hours. It is important all seniors using the TNPromise read the email sent to you on Monday. Failure to complete 8 hours of community service by July 1, 2022 will permanently forfeit your TnPromise eligibility. The 2022-2023 ORHS Boys Basketball Try Outs will be held Thursday, May 19 & Friday, May 20 from 3:30-5:00pm. This will be the only tryout dates for this upcoming season so if you cannot attend you will need to go see Coach Green prior to tryouts. (W, F – 5.18) – A. Green
Mark your calendars – The ORS Free Sports Physical Clinic date has been set for Sunday, May 22 in the Wildcat Arena – from 1:00 – 3:00. All Sports Information and Permission Forms must be entered on-line after April 16 at the following link:

In addition to the Free Sports Physical Clinic on Sunday, May 22, The Norris-Clinton Urgent Care Clinic will be offering FREE sports physicals at their facility in Clinton, across from Anderson County High School, through the month of May. Don’t forget today’s girls soccer interest meeting for the summer/fall 2022 season –this evening for those that are planning to try out/play on the ORHS girls soccer team. This meeting is for current students enrolled at ORHS. The meeting will begin at 3:45 pm at the Food Court upper level. Parents are encouraged to attend if possible. Coach Green will be there to answer any questions and will have information/paperwork for the tryouts and upcoming season.
