Hey Wildcats! Today, October 27th, marks the third day of Spirit Week! Today is Decade Day, make sure to take a picture and tag us on instagram @orhs_stuco! Tomorrow, October 28th is Hawaiian Day! Attn: AP Students:  We will begin taking payments for AP exams this week, Monday through Friday in the main lobby during lunch.

 

  • Please make checks payable to Oak Ridge High School and put the student name and exam(s) name on the Memo line of the check.
  • Exams are $96/exam. The Seminar and Research exams are $144/exam.
  • If you are taking 4 or more exams, you get a discount! The first three exams are full price. The fourth and subsequent exams will be $40/exam.
  • If you qualify for free or reduced meals the exams are $40/exam.
  • If you do not wish to pay the full amount at this time, you can reserve an exam with a $40 down payment per exam and pay the full balance in the Spring Semester.
  • There is a $40 fee for all returned exams

 

Class Rings and Graduation Supplies: Jostens will take orders for both in the Main Lobby and the Arena Concessions’ Kiosk on Tuesday, November 2, during lunch only. Please turn in your order to the Jostens representative at either location during 3rd period lunch. Any student needing a class ring or graduation supplies packet should see Mrs. Ledden in CS347. $60 deposit required for both graduation supply orders and class ring orders. Any student can order a class ring—you do not have to be a senior! (10/27-10/29) T. Ledden

 

Attention Sophomores or Juniors interested in attending Governor’s School for the Arts 2022: The TN Governor’s School for the Arts will be held June 4th, 2022 – June 25th, 2022 at Middle TN State University

Guidelines and instructions on how to apply have been sent to your school email and posted on Skyward. You must follow the guidelines set by ORHS when applying. ORHS has different deadlines than the actual Governor’s School. Information about Governor’s Schools other than Arts will be distributed in the near future.

 

IMPORTANT DATES & DEADLINES FOR ORHS STUDENTS

  • Friday, October 29, 2021 – Deadline for giving teachers recommendation forms and your resume or a list of activities you are involved in
  • Friday, November 19, 2021 – Deadline to turn in your application for the ARTS to the School Counseling Office

SENIOR INFO

 

Seniors: if you did not receive a Jostens graduation supplies packet before the senior class picture, please pick one up from Mrs. Ledden in CS347. Every senior will need to order a cap & gown set this year since you will be the first graduating class to wear the new custom gown. (10/27-10/29) – T. Ledden
