STUDENT INFO

It’s time to dress in college gear.  Find the jerseys, T-Shirts, sweatshirts of your favorite colleges and make plans to support your favorite colleges all week!    We will kickoff off College Week with the 40th annual college and career fair Monday night at 5:30.  We hope to see everyone supporting their favorite colleges all week long!  (Th 9/23 – Tu 9/28) S. Come to the volleyball match TONIGHT –  bring your badge and get in for free!  – JV starts at 5 and Varsity starts at 6.  It’s also Senior night so come see your favorite seniors in one of their last home games ever.  See you TONIGHT, for free. (Th) – D. Kolodney

ONLY  Hispanic Heritage month celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The library is celebrating by featuring books by and about Hispanic Americans. Come by to check it out and to make sure you have plenty of books for fall break. (Th 9.23) – C. Milloway

ORHS Atomic Acts Improv Team is performing at 8pm at the Secret City Improv Festival at the Historic Grove Center this Saturday night! Check out www.secretcityimprovfest.com  for more details. (Tu, Th, F) – V. Moreno

If you are interested in performing improv, scenes or monologues, or performing a musical theatre piece at the Masquers’ Atomic Acts Showcase in April, come sign up and get rehearsal information on Thursday, September 23rd at 3:30 in the auditorium. (Th) – V. Moreno

The FALL FORMAL IS SOLD OUT – Thank you to all the students who purchased your tickets.  There are no more tickets available at school or at the door. Only students whose names are on the list of purchased tickets will be admitted.  The names on the tickets can not be changed. (W-F)  P. Taylor

Join Philosophy Club after school on Friday in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for a discussion on addiction and substance abuse. New members are welcome! (F) – A. Pickering

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will welcome Robin Johnson, member of Oak Valley Baptist Church and Director of Emerald Youth Foundation, to give a 15 minute message at Providence House at 7:10 AM tomorrow morning.  All are welcome for a Christian message, and for Chick-fil-A and donuts across the street from the Wildcat Arena parking lot tomorrow morning at 7:10. Seniors, remember the deadline to turn in your National Honor Society application for the Fall Induction is Monday, September 27th. All applications must be returned to the Media Center signed by a parent or guardian and ORHS faculty or staff who can verify your leadership or service in school activities. (Th,F) – K. Senter
