STUDENT INFO

Students are reminded that the first row of parking closest to Secret City Academy is marked as staff parking.  Students are not permitted to park in staff parking. Tu, Th (D. Hatmaker)

Students who have been assigned to Operation Restoration but complete the assignment MUST come to OR to show evidence of submission before being released to leave campus.  However,  students completing their assignment and are ready to submit may see Mrs. Thompson in the Main Lobby DURING LUNCH to show their work for submission and be released from OR rather than coming at 3:15.      Students who FAIL to show their submission to an OR Coach or Mrs. Thompson will be counted as skipping OR and receive skipping consequences. Applications are now being accepted for the 21-22 ASAP Youth Ambassador Coalition cohort.  An ideal Ambassador candidate is someone who wants to make a difference in their community by preventing and reducing substance misuse, gain leadership skills and experience, receive community service hours, and have fun!  Apply online at ASAPofAnderson.org by September 3rd.  (9/2) – A. What makes things funny? Is there any culturally universal humor? Why do we sometimes laugh at inappropriate times? When do jokes cross the line? Join Philosophy Club after school on Friday in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for a discussion on the philosophy of humor. (F) – A. Pickering

Bonjour! The French Club-Le Cercle Français-is starting up again! Our next meeting will be  Thursday September 2nd from 3:15-4 in LC304. We’ll get to know each other and work on other club details. Senior Information

The tradition continues. It’s time for the Senior Shirt Design Contest—the shirt that every senior gets to sign. Please submit your designs for the Class of 2022 Senior Shirt to Mrs. Ledden in Room CS347 by Tuesday, September 28. You do not have to be a senior to submit designs for the shirt—open to all grade levels.

We need a front shirt design and a back shirt design.  Each of these designs is a separate “contest”.  Prizes for each contest are as follows:  Front – $25; Back – $25. (That’s $50 if you win both!)

Be sure to incorporate ORHS, Seniors, and Class of 2022 into your drawings.  Place your name and first period teacher’s name on the back of each design entry.  Entries must be original work and if selected, will become the property of Oak Ridge High School.
