Calling all Visual Artists and Poets: Oak Ridge elementary, middle and high school students are invited to create works of art & poetry inspired by the Scarboro 85 and honoring the 65th anniversary of the Historic Oak Ridge School Desegregation. The Competition theme is: “Honoring the Struggle, Celebrating the Triumphs & Inspiring the Future”. The entry form and guidelines will be available to print from the Wildcat Daily Bulletin (you can find a link to these in your school email). All entries due by February 19, 2021.
ATHLETIC INFORMATION
The first practice for the Wildcat and Lady Wildcat tennis teams is February 15th. Students interested in trying out for tennis should email Coach Bowman at dbowman@ortn.edu before this Friday, January 8th
In accordance with Governor Lee’s Executive Order #70 and in conjunction with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association and ORHS Athletic Department, specific guidelines for attendance to Oak Ridge High School Basketball games at Wildcat Arena have been implemented:

In effect through January 19, 2021 per Executive Order #70
COVID-19 Guideline Requirements:
- Temperatures will be taken at door
- No one whose temperature measures above 100.4 will be permitted to enter
- Masks are MANDATORY and are to be worn at all times inside Wildcat Arena
- Social distancing
Participation:
- Basketball Team – Limit of 12 players each team
- Basketball Coaches
- No Cheerleaders
- No Dance Team
Attendees:
- Immediate Household List
List provided by Home & Visiting Coaches to include:
Parents / Guardians / Step-parents / Grandparents / Siblings
- School Administrators
- Game / Facility Administrators
- Athletic Officials
- First Responders
- Media and Athletic Scouting personnel attending game in their professional capacity
- No Students or Community Members will be allowed to purchase tickets or attend the game (unless included on Immediate Household List as described above)
Tickets:
- Sold at door only
- $6 Adults / $5 Sr. Citizen & under 18
Concessions:
- Concessions will not be available

There is even information on career exploration and summer opportunities at some amazing schools.
