The City of Knoxville’s Summer in the City Intern Program is a paid 6 week summer internship for applicants who are between the ages of 17 and 22 years of age. This program places interns in various administrative and support tasks for the City departments. The salary is $8.75 per hr. Interested applicants must apply online at www.knoxvilletn.gov and attach a resume and a letter of recommendation. Deadline to apply is 4:30 pm May 10. (Tu, Th) S. Thompson

Does your senior need TN promise volunteer hours? Woodland needs spring fling volunteers – Can you beleive weather moved this event again? The new date is may17th. Here is a fun opportunity to get your hours. You can earn up to 4 hours by helping to set up activities, play games with our students, and take down activities during our Spring Fling. TN Promise students can earn 4.0 hours of service at this fun, City event. They will need to report to Tasha Pitsenbarger at the Central Services Complex (100 Woodbury Ave.) on Thursday, May 23 at 4:00pm and they should be out of here by 8:00pm. We’re moving again! Sewing club is a great opportunity for a few interested students to help sew newborn and preemie gowns for Children’s Hospital.
