Congratulations to the ORHS Swim Team for their 3^rd place Division 2 finish at the Knoxville Interscholastic Swim League Championship this weekend.  (W) – T. Seals

Students who are registering for Business Academy Co-op and/or the Virtual Enterprise class for 2019-2020, please mark your calendars now to attend the mandatory meeting. You can choose to attend the meeting on either Tuesday, March 5, or Thursday, March 7. (1/25, 1/29) – T. Ledden

Winter Formal tickets are on sale! Winter Formal will be held from 7-10pm on February 2nd, and ticket sales are during lunch at the top of the cafeteria and in the arena kiosk. All tickets are $15. These locations will also hold opportunities to vote for Snow Court candidates via donations. Every penny helps! All proceeds from the event will be donated to Second Harvest.  (1/25-1/29) – A. NHS is pouring on the free tutoring power with three scholars to help you. Come see Chastity Donald, Alexis Hammond, and Inna Diawara from 3:15 to 3:50 in the Counseling Center on Tuesday. (1/28-1/29) – K. Senter

There is still time if you are interested in travelling to Africa and Spain this summer. It will be the trip of a life time. Fly into Europe travel across Spain by bus and then take a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco. Watch the sun go down as you ride a camel. Learn to dance flamenco and then make your own Paella are just some of the things you will do.  See Sra. Mas-Effler or Sra. Gilliland for more information or if you have questions.  (1/28-1/30) – M. CLUB INFO

Big things are happening in politics right now, and we know YOU have opinions about them.  So, come share them with Wildcats 4 change as they write letters to their state and federal representatives. They will have tables set up in the front and the arena lobby Tuesday the 29^th with paper, envelopes, addresses and everything you will need to write your OWN letter. Come to express your opinion on any topic, no matter what your stance.  (1/28-1/29) – S. Thomas

The next meeting of the National Honor Society will be in LC327 after school from 3:15 to 4:00 on Monday, February 4. We will schedule tutoring for the rest of the school year and discuss other volunteer opportunities. (1/28-1/29) – K. Senter

East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is happy to announce that ETF 2019 Scholarship Applications will be available on our website, www.etf.org/scholarships, beginning November 1, 2018.  All ETF scholarship applications must be completed and submitted online. The application deadline for 2019 scholarships is February 15, 2019. (Tu – 2.15)  A. Morris

This Friday night, February 1 – LOTS OF SPECIAL EVENTS

• It’s 5.00 “Tee Higgins Night” for all ORHS students ! (Bring your student ID)
• It’s Junior Night – All ORHS Juniors get in free with your student ID
• And it’s Lady Wildcat Free Pizza NIGHT. Pizza has been donated and will be given out in the student section at the beginning of the girls’ game.  Please come out and support your Lady Wildcats as they play Campbell County for the regular season District title.  The game starts at 6:00.  Pizzas will be there at 5:50.
