Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Winter Formal is coming! Student Council will be hosting its first ever Winter Formal on February 2nd from 7 to 10 p.m.! If you would like to nominate yourself or somebody else for the Snow Court, then please stop by Mrs. Wagner’s class (LC331) to fill out a short form. These nominations are due by January 18th! There will be a boy and a girl from each grade on the court. Tickets are $15, and will be sold 2 weeks before the dance in the arena kiosk and top of the cafeteria. All proceeds will go towards money for the Second Harvest Food Bank. Get your semi-formal to formal attire ready!  (1/9-1/18 WF) – A. Wagner

CLUB INFO

Book Club will meet on Friday of this week, January 18, during lunch.  Come see Mrs. Milloway with questions or for passes. (1/15, 1/17, 1/18) – C. Milloway

The FBLA Club will have their next meeting on Tuesday, January 22nd  at 7:15 a.m.  Snacks will be served.  The club will meet in Ms. Stalliard’s room CS 345.  (1/16-1/18) – C. Stalliard

Join Philosophy Club after school Friday in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for an Ethics Bowl practice. All Ethics Bowl team members should attend, but everyone is welcome to come to discuss and learn. (1/17-1/18) – A. Pickering

Debate Club meets on Tuesday, January 22, from 3:15-4:15, in Coach Etheridge’s room, CS336. Of course there will be food. Did you have to ask? And also we will debate the topic of the week: “political correctness.”  (1/18, 1/22) – A. Etheridge

COUNSELING INFO

The Anderson County Democratic Women’s Scholarship is offering a $500 award to a female student. If you would like to be considered for this scholarship, please attach a paragraph statement to your local scholarship form that states why you think you would be a good candidate for this scholarship. Please turn this to Mrs. Morris in the Counseling Office by March 1st, 2019. Stop by the Counseling Office if you have any questions.  (11/16-3/01 F) – A. Morris
