The Fall Play “Our Town” starts this Thursday! Do you have your tickets for this classic drama? Shows are this Thursday at 7, Saturday at 7, and Sunday at 2. You are running out of time to buy Advance tickets. Last day to buy Advance tickets is Wednesday. Advance tickets are $6 and are available from a Masquer, Mr. Moreno’s class, or the Bookstore. Tickets will be sold at the door but will be $1 more. Don’t miss this high school tradition! (11/5) – V. Moreno

CLUB INFO

Seniors planning to attend Roane State or Pellissippi State: The Steven L Coffey Memorial Scholarship is now available online at www.easttennesseefoundation.org under Grants and Scholarships. This scholarship will stack on top of your Tennessee Promise scholarship and it is also transferrable to your 3rd and 4th years of college as long as you stay in Tennessee! The scholarship is valued at $1,500 to $2,500 per year for four years. You must be an Anderson County resident with a 2.5 minimum GPA to apply. The scholarship also includes the services of a College Support Service Coordinator for academic achievement and personal mentoring. (11/5-11/6) – K. Rowland

East Tennessee Foundation (ETF) is happy to announce that there are two scholarship opportunities solely for Oak Ridge High School (ORHS) graduating seniors: Oak Ridge Rotary Club Brad Sturm Memorial Scholarship/Essay Contest and the Rotary Club of Oak Ridge College Founders Scholarship.
Scholarship information, including detailed descriptions and application instructions, as well as 2019 applications, will be available on our website, www.etf.org/scholarships, beginning November 1, 2018. The scholarship application must be completed and submitted online by February 15, 2019. (M – 2.15) A. Morris
ATHLETICS THIS WEEK
Off-season conditioning for tennis players begins this Wednesday at 4:15 on the ORHS courts. The conditioning is optional and open to returning players and students new to the program who would like to try out for tennis in the spring. To participate students must have physicals dated after April 2018 on file with Terra Davenport. Contact Coach Bowman in LC-218 with questions or to pick up a winter training schedule.
