To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the liberation of the continent in WWII, we are leading educational tour to Europe during Spring Break 2019. Visit 4 countries as we trace the path of the allied forces from England to the D-Day beaches of France, on to the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium, and finally into Germany and the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp. Join us on Thursday, May 3 at 7:00 PM in the ORHS Amphitheater for an interest meeting. Students that are already signed up do not need to attend, but please invite your friends. Attention Seniors, It’s time to complete your Graduation Survey in Naviance. Please record your college application outcomes (accepted, denied, waitlisted, deferred). List the college you will be attending or other post-secondary plans. This information is private. Your identity will not be shared. (5/2-5/4) – B. Ottinger
Reminder to all students planning to take DE Spanish 4, DE French 4, DE Geology, DE Statistics, or DE Pre-Calculus through Roane State next year, you must have taken the ACT or SAT and met their required score to take the course for dual enrollment credit starting next fall. The last ACT we will offer this year is Saturday, June 9th with a registration deadline of THIS Friday, May 4th. If you qualify for fee waiver, you can see Mrs. Rowland in the Counseling office to get a waiver and it also covers the cost of the writing test. You can also take a residual ACT at RSCC any time you schedule it but that score will not be sent to other colleges. It can only be used at RSCC. (5/3-5/4) – K. Rowland

Are you in need of volunteer hours? Join us at the Oak Ridge Schools – City of Oak Ridge Wellness Fair on May 16th at the Civic Center! The fair begins at noon and ends at 4:00pm. You can earn volunteer hours by helping vendors set up, working the registration desk, etc. You can start after school is dismissed on Wednesday, May 16th and work as long as you like! Seniors: Each year, ORHS Student Council awards a $2000 one-time scholarship to a graduating senior who has been involved with leadership activities, either at school, in the community, or a combination of both. Your work will not only be the cover for the 2018 Convocation Program, but will be used for other ORHS material next year. Be Creative! FREE Sports Physical Clinic THIS SUNDAY May 6 – ORHS Wildcat Arena – 1:00 – 3:00 Parents and athletes should complete the sports information and permission forms on line prior to this Sunday.
