STUDENT INFO
The administration would like to make students aware that eating on the steps at the bottom of the food court, along the wall to the ramp or around the Performing Arts Center will no longer be allowed. We have found that waste being left behind has increased and we ask that you eat only in the designated areas of the food court. (1/5-1/10) – S. Herrell

Biographies and memoirs can be interesting ways to learn about lives different from your own. Uncover opportunities, face challenges, and celebrate successes by walking a while in someone else’s shoes. Who would you like to read about? Students and staff – come by the library before Friday, January 12 to suggest a biography you’d like to see in the library and get entered into a drawing to win a gift card. (1/5, 1/8, 1/10) – C. Attention students! Yearbook is looking for pictures showing what you did over winter break. Did you travel to another state or another country? Did you stay home in pjs and socks? COUNSELING INFO
The Steven Coffey Scholarship through the East Tennessee Foundation is ONLY for ORHS, Clinton and ACHS seniors who are planning to attend Roane State or Pellissippi State. This scholarship is in addition to the Tennessee Promise so it does not affect your Tennessee Promise. It also continues into your junior and senior years of college as long as you stay in-state. The Tennessee Promise runs out after two years but the Coffey will continue with you for two more years. It is typically a $1,200-$1,500 scholarship each year. Driverless car technologies are all the rage in the STEM world, but how can we program an ethical car? If it comes down to endangering the driver of the vehicle or a pedestrian, what should the car choose? What if there are multiple pedestrians? Join Philosophy Club this Friday after school in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for this exciting cross-curricular Ethics Bowl case discussion. Everyone is welcome! (1/4-1/5) – A. Pickering
ORHS has a new club for those who would like to learn how to sew or build on their sewing talent! Whether it’s clothing repair, new items, alterations, embroidery, quilting, accessories, or crafts – just bring your ideas about what you’d like to create! Seniors: if you did not order your graduation supplies on time, you will need to wait until the late order forms arrive before placing an order. An announcement will be made through the Daily Bulletin when the late order forms are available. (1/4-1/5) – T. Ledden
Attention Seniors, if your colleges requires a midyear report or midyear transcript, you must turn in a transcript request form in the School Counseling Office as soon as possible.

It’s Sophomore Night this Friday night as the Wildcats host the Bobcats from Central. Sophomores – bring your badges and you can get in to the game for free. Girls JV game starts @ 4:30. Girls Varsity@ 6:30 and Boys Varsity @ 7:30. Juniors – Your night is next week January 9th as the Wildcats host the Red Devils from Halls and Seniors – January 16th against the Powell Panthers.
