As the weather is getting colder and students are looking for warm clothing items to wear, you are increasingly choosing to come to school in warm, fuzzy pajamas and even house slippers. The handbook states on page 15, “Clothing that resembles sleepwear such as lounging pants, or other lounging items – including house shoes …. is prohibited. Students choosing to disobey this policy will receive a disciplinary referral and be required to change clothes. (12/6-12/12) – S. Thompson
The Youth Advisory Board is sponsoring a holiday trip to the Opryland Hotel and Opry Mills Mall in Nashville, TN for Oak Ridge High School students on Wednesday, December 20th, 2017 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Bus tickets are $10.00 per person. For an extra fee, students can enjoy lots of winter activities at the Opryland Hotel like snow tubing, ice skating, and much more. Permission slips are available at the Civic Center Front Desk, in the Student Affairs Office, and online at www.orrecparks.org. Spots are limited. Hallo! Und Guten Tag! Do you like German? Do you want to learn more and hang out with other students interested in German? Then come to German Club also known as “Deutsche Arbeitsgemeinschaft”. Members of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and other students who are helping with our Christmas project should remember to purchase your gifts and bring them to Mrs. Ferguson’s room by Tuesday, Dec. 12. Join Philosophy Club after school today in Mr. Pickering’s room (LC322) for Ethics Bowl cases on driverless cars and banning certain breeds of animals.
