Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

As the weather is getting colder and students are looking for warm clothing items to wear, you are increasingly choosing to come to school in warm, fuzzy pajamas and even house slippers. The handbook states on page 15, “Clothing that resembles sleepwear such as lounging pants, or other lounging items – including house shoes …. is prohibited. Students choosing to disobey this policy will receive a disciplinary referral and be required to change clothes. (12/6-12/12) – S. Thompson

The Zeta Gamma Gamma Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in Oak Ridge, has the privilege to offer a $500 academic scholarship to a high school student that is named as the 1^st place winner in our annual performing arts talent competition. Participants must complete an application and parental consent documentation that is available in the Main Office no later than December 8, 2017.  Application and consent must be complete in order to be eligible.  Acceptable applicants will be notified by December 15, 2017 with a confirmed date and time.  (Approved by Superintendent’s Office)  (11/27-12/8 M. National Honor Society is again staffing the free tutoring with three students to help you here at the end of the term. Come to the Counselling Center on Friday from 3:15-3:50 to see Megan McEahern, Lauren Douglas, and Jared Galloway. (12/6-12/7) – K. Senter

The East Tennessee Foundation and the Oak Ridge Rotary Club are offering multiple scholarship opportunities. CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

Book Club Meeting after school Monday, December 11 in the Makerspace. Come to talk about what your reading, eat, and make a bookmark. (12/7, 12/8, 12/11) – C. Milloway

The YuGi-Oh! Club will meet in Dr. Colquitt’s room, CS 235, Friday. Bring your cards and be ready to duel until 5 pm. All students are welcome to participate!! (12/7-12/8; 12/14-12/15) – R. Colquitt

Members of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica and other students who are helping with our Christmas project should remember to purchase your gifts and bring them to Mrs. Ferguson’s room by Tuesday, Dec. 12. ATHLETICS THIS WEEK
