Oak Ridge High School Daily Bulletin

STUDENT INFO

Students who ride bus 1966 (except those who live in Rarity Ridge) will ride the second load on Monday, November 20^th.  Students will need to meet in the top tier of the food court and wait for Bus 60 to return to pick them up at approximately 3:45 p.m.

Students going to Rarity Ridge will ride Bus 1944 at the regular dismissal time.  That bus will be closest to the street in front of all the other buses. (11/17, 11/20) – A. Roberts

Hello everybody! It’s time to sign up for fun next summer! Come and sign up for the German exchange program! Everyone who took German, is taking German at the moment, or is a German heritage student can participate. The next and important GAPP meeting is coming up soon! It will be on November 20^th at 6 pm in the Amphitheater. So don’t forget to mark it in your calendar!! You do not know what GAPP is? Let me tell you: you stay with a family in Germany; you make lifelong friends; You eat German food; visit historical places, and enjoy the summertime events in small towns and big cities.  So come to our next parent meeting on Monday, November 20th at 6pm in the Amphitheater.  (11/14—11/20) S. Now that the Fall Play is over, it is MUSICAL TIME in Oak Ridge.If you are interested in auditioning for the timeless musical, The Music Man, go to the Masquers Information Board outside Mr. Moreno’s classroom LC 215.  There you will find information for what you will need to prepare for the audition.  Feel free to talk to Mr. Moreno or Mr. Fowler if you have any questions.  (11/15, 11/17, 11/20) – V. COUNSELING INFO

Stop by the Counseling Office to pick up an information packet regarding the 2017-18 Xi State Essay Contest. Prizes range from $100-$300. Deadline to submit you essay is December 8th, 2017. (11/14-12/07 W,F) – A. Morris

If you are a Senior that requested a free t-shirt from Roane State please plan to pick yours up during lunch this Thursday and Friday in the Food Court. If you have any questions please see Mrs. Morris in the Counseling Office. (11/14-11/7) – A. Morris

Complimentary Tickets to the ORCBA presentation of the Nutcracker are available on a first come first served basis in the Counseling Office. Stop by today! Once they’re gone there will be no more! Showtimes are this Saturday and Sunday. (11/15-11/17) – A. Morris

CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

The ORHS Interact Club is collecting new and gently used books for children and teenagers! The new books will be distributed during the Oak Ridge Christmas Parade and the gently used books will be added to the little libraries around our community! Look for the Christmas wrapped boxes in the lobby and in the counseling office.  (11/14, 11/17, 11/20, 11/27, 11/28, 12/1, 12/4) – A. King

The Interact club will meet Monday, 11/20 in the college and career room after school. We will be discussing bell ringing and book collection! (11/15, 11/17, 11/20) – A. King

The YuGi-Oh! Club will NOT meet this Friday, November 17. We will meet on Tuesday, November 21 after school instead. (11/16-11/17) – R. Colquitt

SENIOR INFO

Seniors, there are still a few yearbook salutation spots available, though not many.  If you missed the early deadline for getting a salutation in to Mrs. Byrd, please consider turning one in before winter break.  You may turn them in to her in room CS328.  Only paper salutations with pictures will be accepted at this point.
