STUDENT INFO

Come to the “Hoco Pocus” Halloween Dance this Saturday, October 28 from 7-10:30 in the practice gym! Tickets are $5 and will be on-sale in the lobby area during lunch this week and at the door. Buy a ticket early and you get coupons for free food from places like Chick-fil-a, Salsaritas, and Which Which along! At the dance, we’ll have food, a DJ, and fun prizes for the best costumes! Oak Ridge High School will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week October 23-27 to raise awareness and prevent drug use in our school and in the Oak Ridge community. DID YOU KNOW -marijuana has many of the same cancer causing chemicals found in tobacco?  Did you know people who use marijuana on a regular basis often have the same breathing problems as tobacco users, such as chronic coughing and wheezing, more frequent acute chest illnesses, and a tendency toward obstructed airways?  Remember:  “Your Future Is Key, So Stay Drug Free®” (10/27) – J. COUNSELING INFO

The previously scheduled visit from Savannah College of Art and Design has been canceled. They will be rescheduling their visit for a later time. (10/27) – A. Morris

CLUB & ORGANIZATION INFO

The interact club will be collecting your spare change for UNICEF until Halloween! Your donations will help children in 3rd world countries gain access to education and health care. Please consider donating money this week!  Contact any Interact Club member or Mrs. King in the counseling office! (10/25-10/31) – A. King
